In this series of bookbinding cover fabrics, the designers have indulged in a little change beautifying the design. CLASSIC is already several colors, imitations of bookbinding canvas, metallic motifs and even PU finishes. However, everything sticks to one principle, that is, the classics of bookbinding. These materials are created for wide-ranging hard bindings. They will work well on books, albums, luxury packaging, haberdashery and any job for which a bookbinding material is needed. This series is also a balance of price to appearance.

A series of covering materials with a classic look, subdued colors and calm textures. All Wikivil Traditional covering materials are made on a paper backing, coated with a layer of vinyl. The grammage of this series of veneers ranges from 210-230 g/m². The whole series is very easily processed by bookbinders. We can easily obtain very good effects of foil stamping or screen printing. Introspective covering material Wikivil Typical, is suitable for both manual and machine processing such as Koblus DA.

Hot stamping with foils
The most common way of decorating bookbinding cover materials. You only need to follow certain rules to achieve an excellent result. Use special foils for PVC covering materials. There are usually two types: for lettering and large appliqués. If one type is used, "holes" may appear on the appliqué, while the opposite is true for letters, where the outer contours are flooded.
Hot-dry embossing
We particularly recommend this solution for metallic or completely smooth matt coating materials, e.g. FUKS. In the case of the former, a light refraction effect is created and the embossing appears discoloured. In the case of matt veneers, the embossing area becomes slightly shiny, which also creates a distinct change in the surface of the covering material.

Thickness
- Our bookbinding cover materials have a thickness of approx. 240 um. This preserves the flexibility of the covering material during processing and the strength of the material during use of the finished product.

Machine processing
In this case, there is one rule of thumb: the lower the grammage and the greater the flexibility of the covering material, the higher the speed of the machine. Our veneers have a paper backing even with a minimum grammage on which a layer of thin PVC has been spread. All series run perfectly on Kolbus DA machines etc.
Quality of binding corners
Due to the fact that the ideal proportions of elasticity, strength and thickness have been chosen, our cover materials wrap up nicely and, for example, the corners of the luminaires, which are relatively 'thin', look very elegant at the same time.
Paper backing
All of our series of vinyl coverings are made on a paper carrier. The paper carrier is always white as standard for all veneers. It can also be coloured in the mass for special orders. Another option is to use a 350 or 400 gsm cardboard backing instead of paper.
Manual processing
Our all covering materials have been made on paper so that there are no problems with gluing, stretching or cracking. The thickness of the paper and pvc layer has been selected so that the material is flexible and does not spring back when the edges are glued.
